Redeem a Gift Certificate

Here's how to redeem a Gift Certificate at Foxtrot Gifts:

  1. Open/View Gift Certificate. If you received a Gift Certificate by email, you will need to open the email attachment to view your Gift Certificate code. (This email attachment is a standard web document that can be viewed and printed from your web browser.)

  2. Locate Code Number. The Gift Certificate code is located in the top right corner of the Gift Certificate, and will look similar to the following example: M45-K4P-JSW-197

  3. Shop Our Store. Browse our store to find exactly what you want and add it to your shopping cart.

  4. View Shopping Cart. Before checking out, click the "View Cart" button to display the contents of your shopping cart. In the top-right column you'll see a box that says "Redeem Gift Certificate" (look for the red ribbon as shown in the illustration below).

  5. Enter Code Number. Type the Gift Certificate code number in the box. When done, click the button that says "Go" and the value of the Gift Certificate will be applied to your purchase.

  6. Complete Checkout. Continue through the normal checkout procedure to provide your shipping information. If your purchase exceeds the value of the Gift Certificate, you may pay the balance with your credit card. Or, if your purchase is less than the value of the Gift Certificate, the unused portion will remain on account to be used at a later time (prior to the expiration date.)

(If you haven't done so already, please read the Gift Certificate Policies below.)

Gift Certificate Policies

Expiration. Gift Certificates are valid for one (1) year from date of purchase. This applies to both Digital Gift Certificates and Physical Gift Certificates. Expiration dates cannot be extended, however, you can "roll-over" a gift certificate that is about to expire by using it to purchase another Gift Certificate of equal or greater value. The newly purchased Gift Certificate will then expire one year from its activation date.

Refunds. Gift Certificates are not eligible for refunds. Our normal Returns Policy applies to items purchased with a Gift Certificate, however, the refunded amount will be credited to the value of the Gift Certificate before being applied to any other payment method.

Redemption. Gift Certificates may only be redeemed through the Foxtrot Gifts website (www.foxtrotgifts.com). The value of the purchase (including any taxes, and shipping) will be deducted from the Gift Certificate balance. If the Gift Certificate has an unused balance, it may be redeemed in a future transaction prior to the the Gift Certificate's expiration date. No change, cash-back, or store credit is available with a Gift Certificate. If the cost of an order exceeds the amount of the Gift Certificate, the balance must be paid with a credit card or other available payment method.

Loss. Foxtrot Gifts is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misdirected Gift Certificates. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide an accurate email address (for Digital Gift Certificates) or an accurate mailing address (for Physical Gift Certificates) at the time of purchase. The risk of loss is assumed by the purchaser when Foxtrot Gifts has emailed or mailed the Gift Certificate to the address provided.

Digital Backup Copy: If a Digital Gift Certificate is purchased, in addition to the email message that is sent to the Recipient, an identical "backup copy" of the Digital Gift Certificate will be emailed to the Purchaser. In the event of any delivery difficulties (ie: incorrect email address, 'mailbox-full' error, etc.) it is the Purchaser's responsibility to forward the "backup copy" to the intended recipient. (Note: Backup copies are only sent when a Digital Gift Certificate has been purchased. This is not available for Physical Gift Certificates.)

Fraud Prevention. All Gift Certificate purchases and redemptions are reviewed and monitored by a human being. In the event that a Gift Certificate has been obtained through fraud (for example: an unauthorized credit card purchase, unauthorized PayPal purchase, etc.) or in the event that a Gift Certificate has been obtained as part of a disputed transaction (for example: a credit-card chargeback, any type of payment reversal, etc.) then Foxtrot Gifts reserves the right to void Gift Certificate codes obtained through any type of fraudulent or disputed means. We also reserve the right to cancel transactions, close customer accounts, and request alternate forms of payment.

Other Policies. The person redeeming or purchasing the Gift Certificate and the use of the Gift Certificate are subject to our Returns Policy, Privacy Policy, and our Terms and Conditions.

Special Notice: Gift Certificates (either digital or physical) can be presented to an individual who has a non-US delivery address, however, any delivery restrictions (ie: "ships to US addresses only") for specific items and/or Vendors still apply.
